Dental Hygienist

I am one of the most recent additions to the wonderful team at Desert Sun Dental. I attended Yakima Valley College where I received my BA degree in Dental Hygiene. I was fortunate enough to return to my hometown of Quincy and join my team in July 2017. I love interacting with our patients, and being able to educate and encourage them to maintain good oral health.

Being bi-lingual in English and Spanish makes it possible for me to more effectively communicate with our Spanish-speaking patients to help meet their needs.

Outside of work, I love spending my time with friends and family, which includes my husband Osvaldo and our beautiful baby girl Allison. I also enjoy playing volleyball and traveling.

Welcome to Desert Sun Dental. I came to Quincy from the sun and surf of Southern California. After spending time at Idaho State University, I earned a BA degree in Dental Hygiene. A favorite part of my job is working alongside our awesome team to provide comprehensive dental care for our clients. It has been a great joy for me to develop strong relationships with my clients over the years, providing excellent dental hygiene services with warmth and humor.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, quilting, volunteering, and traveling.

I am a recent addition to the great team here at Desert Sun Dental! I attended Columbia Basin College where I received my Dental Hygiene degree in 2015. I love working in such a comprehensive and progressive dental office and interacting with patients to help them achieve their dental goals.

I have always been interested in dentistry and wanted to help people feel confident about their smiles. The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing the satisfaction and happiness of patients once treatment is complete!

In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

I assist Dr. Klingel in all dental procedures and love being part of such a modern, state-of-the-art practice. I have been working here since 2003 and love providing quality dental care for patients with a gentle touch. Our patients are what make our practice so great, and everyone on our team takes the time to know them personally, making sure they are comfortable and happy.

I was raised in Quincy and am a WSU alumnus. My husband Josey and I have three beautiful and busy children, Jaxon, Jourdan, and Jones. We love to golf and play football—if we aren’t playing it then we are watching it!

Front Office

I have enjoyed working at Desert Sun Dental alongside Dr. Klingel, and our hygienists to provide our patients with the dental treatment that best meets their needs. Being bilingual in English and Spanish enables me to easily facilitate our Spanish-speaking patients’ visits. I have been working here since July 2005 in every area of the practice and have enjoyed being part of such a great team.

I love spending my spare time with friends, and family which includes my husband Tony and our two (young adult/teenage) children Anyssa and Isaiah. I have recently started traveling more, which includes trips to visit Anyssa who is now attending the University of Washington in Seattle. I enjoy attending sporting events at my son’s high school. One of my greatest passions is doing volunteer work in my community.

I would like to welcome you to our outstanding and caring practice! My name is Vanessa. I attended Dental Assist Training Center in Seattle in 2007. I joined this amazing team in May of 2017. I assist our doctors in making sure patients receive the best care possible. I not only have experience in general dentistry, but also previously worked at an orthodontic office for about ten years! So teeth have always been a part my career! I’m also bilingual, and that allows me to help patients understand all aspects of their dental treatment in Spanish!

My husband Edson and I have two beautiful daughters, Evelyn and Aryanna. We enjoy all of our girls’ school activities and are actively involved in martial arts at our local recreational department. We also enjoy hikes, swimming, and traveling.

Bookkeeper

I joined this team as a new assistant in 1974 after graduating from Spokane Community College. I continued working with Desert Sun Dental part-time in the front office and as the bookkeeper. I still spend my Mondays mornings in the office as the bookkeeper and enjoy seeing and visiting with our long-term patients as they come in for appointments.

I partially retired in 2015 to spend more time traveling with my husband Chuck and spending time with our wonderful grandchildren, Jaxon, Jourdan, Jones, Mckinnley, and Paisley.
